It’s a season of change for me. In a month’s time, I’ll be moving out of the flat I’ve been living in for the past four years. I’ve also just bought my own home, which feels like an incredibly adult thing to do.

I’ve been debating the merits of renting vs buying for a long time, but eventually decided it’d be more economically sensible to put my savings into a property, which will make my money work harder for me.

The lump sum downpayment is the hard part. But after it’s done, it’s done. I pretend like the money is just locked away in a vault somewhere (which it kinda is). The mortgage itself is affordable and comfortable (it would be the same amount I have to pay each month if I keep on renting) since we did not overextend and buy above our means.

In conclusion, I’m officially a home-owning adult!

In addition to my commercial/advertising work, I’m working on developing my documentary work. More to share soon.

I’ve changed things up a bit by posting more regularly on the blog rather than writing only one article every week or so via my newsletter.
